Re: MI civil demand ?

The letter of "Civil Demand" can take days, weeks even, months. It depends on how busy the Civil Recovery service is and when the store makes the request. Your Civil Demand amount should be between $300.00 to $500.00. Keepn mind this is estimate based on other Civil Demands recieved by oth...

Re: My story.

That still does not say if the LP who stopped you will not know the LP at where you "might" be hired. They have forums sites as well many of them. Your post also does not say if the store who stopped you belongs to any retail theft database and if they entered your name. This means if any ...

Re: My story.

I also submitted applications to several stores prior to this. Will they be notified? Will this ruin my chances of getting a job in just retail, or all jobs (fast food, etc)? If the store that stopped you is a member of the retail theft database and so are stores you applied out yes they could cuas...

Re: My story.

Yeah, it was mall security. Will the civil demand be mailed under my name? And will my parents need any involvement in this? I am deciding to pay off the civil demand and when I do, is the store still able to press charges against me, since I know they have a year to file charges. Will I be able to...

Re: My story.

The way I read this it was "Mall Security" who told you this. Well they have no knowledge or say so on whether the store seeks Civil Demand or not. They also have also have no knowledge on whether or not they (The store) write a report. In fact anytime and I mean anytime Loss prevention ma...

Re: Ontario Shoplifter, second charge of theft under 5000

Of course it won't get me the help I want! That wasn't the point. The point was you misread my post entirely! I was given a diversion program, not placed on parole. I am not a lawyer, and even I understand the difference. . I dont see what you saw. Most Diversion programs carry a "probation&qu...

Re: PC 488 PETTY THEFT! 18yr old female, future doctor..WHAT HAP

It means you will be getting a letter (from Law firm likely) asking you for money in relation to this event. It will likely quote penal code 490.5. If you cannot pay all at once ask for payment plan. As stated this is unrelatd to any court fines or cost in relation to your criminal case.

Its not on ticket because its a civil action. It a civil fine unrelated to any court fines.

Re: PC 488 PETTY THEFT! 18yr old female, future doctor..WHAT HAP

We read some other peoples' forums and their answers said to NOT plead guilty, why is this? You must not have read entire posts then. The reason is if you walk in an dplead guilty Judge will then sentence you. No plea deals! Just whatever Judge desires. Hope hes in good mood! Pleading not guilty bu...
